Decided to pick this up again, now that I have a program that makes everything way easier on me. Our last blog was on 720º and this one is on the next game in the list, 8 Eyes.
I'll be making one assumption here, and that's that the main character, Orin, has an average height of 1.77 m.
Orin walks at 3.78 m/s and can survive falls as fast as 13.6 m/s with a deceleration distance of 0.453 m with no injury.
If we suppose Orin has an ideal weight for his size (about 70~ kg) we can calculate how much force he's taking as well.
a = (Vf2-Vi2)/(2d)
- Vf = 0 m/s
- Vi = 13.6 m/s
- d = 0.453 m
02-13.62/(2*0.453) = -41.9 m/s2 or 41.9 m/s2 for our cases
F = ma
- m = 70~ kg
- a = 41.9 m/s2
70*41.9 = 2933 N
