Just a heads up, this calc is gonna be lowballed. Not by a massive amount, the "true" figure likely isn't anymore than 20 or 30 m/s higher than what I'm getting here, but I'd still just like to throw that out there.

Pickle moves at least half his body width to dodge this bullet, since it was fired at his center, so first we need to find out how much distance that is.

Jack provides us a good reference point, since he's 2.43 m tall. In this panel that comes out to 857 px, while Pickle is 923 px tall. This makes Pickle a minimum of 2.62 m in height, since he's hunched over here.

In this panel Pickle is 1055 px tall, and his body has a half-width of 169 px. This means that to dodge the bullet he has to move a minimum of 0.42 m.

In the panel where the gun is fired Pickle seems to be standing about 2 tiles away from the gun. Each tile appears to be about twice as long as Pickle's foot length. Going back to the panel we measured his height from, we can see his foot is 0.429 m long, since it's 151 px in length. This puts Pickle at around 1.7 m from the gunman.

Assuming the bullet is a 9mm, it should be moving at at least 350 m/s, at most 407 m/s. This range of speeds covers the last few figures we need to find Pickle's speed.

V = (d/D)*v

  • d = 0.42 m
  • D = 1.7 m
  • v = 350 m/s

(0.42/1.7)*350 = 86.5 m/s

V = (d/D)*v

  • d = 0.42 m
  • D = 1.7 m
  • v = 407 m/s

(0.42/1.7)*407 = 101 m/s

  • Pickle Dodges a Bullet - 86.5 to 101 m/s, Subsonic Class

EDIT: I've been informed that it's very likely the scientist is just missing here. He's aiming at Pickle's legs, and you can clearly see the bullet is not heading towards either of them. Take this calculation with a heavy grain of salt.
